2013 in Review
And there goes 2013. So, yeah. Can you believe it, we’re well into the second decade of the twenty-first century. Hardly proceeding as scripted, but that’s another post.
Interesting year, 2013. Personally a rather extraordinary year. As I type I can see my daughter sleeping in her bassinet. Ken procreating: many have considered that one of the signs of the impending apocalypse. But you can’t hang the end of the world on me, whether it’s via asteroid, zombies, super-flu, nuclear holocaust, or Vogon destructor fleets.
I had a few stories published, more accepted for future publication. Always a nice ego stroke.
Oh yeah, I sold my first novel. Now I realize I’ve plugged that before, even threw a publication party back in October. Oops. I learned a lesson about publishing: it ain’t published ‘till it’s published. But it is coming, I swear. I saw the currently scheduled date in an email today. I’m not going to mention that date here, though. Not yet. Lesson learned, remember? I can too learn, stop sniggering.
(The book cover looks great, by the way. I think you’ll like it.)
So I’m rolling in to 2014 with momentum. It’s going to be another good year, just you wait and see.
So how was your year?
