Work Continues, Paycheck or Not

Writing is not for those who demand instant gratification. The pipeline is lengthy. The product received at the far end might have entered the pipe a year or more ago. The system demands patience from the scribbler. This year (from a writing standpoint at least, don’t get me started on the job search — that gets the Black Dog snapping at my heels) looks to be very productive. But with contracts, editing, publishing schedules, etc. I couldn’t even guess when the actual books will begin to reach readers (except, of course, for the Twilight Galaxy series, all three of which should be published by the end of the year.) That means, of course, that I have to keep producing, pumping words into the pipeline for some indeterminate point in the future, without a guarantee the work will ever see the far end. This week, that means outlining. What fun.

While you’re waiting to see what drops next from the pipe line, pick up Twilight Galaxy: Dekason. It is always a good idea to have something to read while you wait.
